Azita uses her camera to show the interplay between the sensual and the soul. Influenced by early cinema as well as by Man Ray, Imogen Cunningham and Diego Rivera, Azita finds beauty in illuminations of the hidden within the recognizable. Her work captures moments of vulnerability when her subjects reveal their unique physical and spiritual qualities, displayed in movement, color, lines, textures, and light. Her images are printed in bold, expressive format.
A former techie, Azita is now a full-time artist living in the Bay Area. She wants her work to both fascinate and unsettle the viewer.
