Charlotte grew up in San Jose. She studied Marine Biology and Art at the University of California–Santa Cruz, later returning for graduate school in Natural Science Illustration at Crown College.
Following a career as a graphic designer and illustrator Charlotte taught design and animal illustration at Cogswell College in Sunnyvale. At the Pacific Art League she was William D. Iaculla's figurative sculpting class leader for eight years. Between 1995 and 2009 Charlotte studied with Palo Alto master Marguerite Olsen Fletcher.
Both a sense of peace in wild places and the earth's natural movement inspire Charlotte's art.
"I am a medium channeling light. On very warm days the woodlands provide free air conditioning while in winter the midday sun warms me."
