I am an artist.
I love colors and shapes.
I am fascinated by reducing colors and shapes to a minimum to bring the most out of them.
My work is puristic, simple, minimalistic.
I like the idea of having only one color, one metal or one shape to emphasize this 'red', that'silver' or those 'lentils'.
I am inspired both from contemporary European design as well as Japanese design both of which share the idea of minimalism.
Since 1998 I have lived, worked and taught in the Bay Area of San Francisco, California. I continued to study Jewelry at the Palo Alto Art Center, the Mendocino Art Center and the Revere Academy in San Francisco.
1997 Master of Art degree in Art Pedogogy, Art History and Ethnic Studies from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Univeristy in Munich, Germany with an emphasis on painting and metalsmithing.
1987 apprenticeship diploma in lithography in Munich, Germany.
