I love my fellow people. I am curious about their lives, their thoughts and their stories. My paintings mirror people’s lives: From the start we experience a myriad of impressions: Happy, hurtful, colorful, dull, highs, lows, scrapes, caresses, scratches, gentleness, blows, peace, strikes, protection, relationships, partings, togetherness, loneliness, love, sorrow. Nothing is lost. The tapestry of life is rich. I love to create visual poems of exiting contrasts. The juxtaposition of differences and surprises, of spontaneity and arrangements, of symbols and shapes, colors and the void of it, the challenge of making it harmonious and the victorious feeling, when it melds together into one melody. This is what drives me to painting every day. With each new painting I challenge myself to risk more and be as authentic and true to myself as I can in that moment. I love to see myself grow as an artist and as a person. There will be no end to this process until the last day of my conscious mind.
