Ceramics
As a woman who entered the art field at age
35, my work reflects my life experiences. I've traveled to
many countries and participated in World Craft conferences,
NCECA's and International Ceramics Symposiums. There is an
interaction of the other cultures in the creation of my
rural
objects. My love of clay, water and stone translate into water
sculpture, vase forms and food presentation pieces.
My
goal as a Clay Artist is to create objects that communicate
peace and tranquility, and add a touch of beauty to our lives.
I
work in porcelain and buff stoneware, firing the pieces to
Cone 10 in an oxidation atmosphere.
