I
explore the mussel shell motif because I love its irridescent
interior and gnarly ridged exterior. Each pair is unique.
That frail yet strong shell floats, dances and transforms
into a crescent moon in my art.
Wild
nature, particularly landscapes, inspire new color harmonies
that restore my soul, like a quartet or symphony. I am impassioned
when I find a spontaneous new order of movement, shape and
line and I want to share it
My studies included classes at The Chicago Art Institute and
led to teaching, research, and publishing the book, Tongues
and Totems.
