Painting and Printmaking

The vibrancy, richness and complexity of modern life inspires my abundant use of layers of color and texture to express its tumultuous, exciting and mysterious nature. My training in science and dance as well as art, determines my attitude with a brush or a roller or whatever instrument I can find to create and enhance my image. I combine dancing gestures with hard edge technical precision and visual craft.

Some of my paintings are designed so that all vertical and horizontal positions can be viewed. These works are mounted on either manual or automated rotating devices to enable the viewer to fully experience the intent of the work.

My prints are all one-of-a-kind monotypes created with acrylic paint rather than conventional ink. They have the same light fast qualities of either oil or acrylic paintings.

I studied painting and drawing in New York City at the High School of Music and Art   and Cooper Union Art School. I have exhibited my work in San Francisco at the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery; Octavia's Haze Gallery and Robert Allen Fine Arts Gallery; and in the South Bay, at the Triton Museum of Santa Clara; Gallery 9, Los Altos; and Gallery House, Palo Alto. My work is in numerous private and corporate collections on both coasts
