Kevyn Warnock and Sandra Cochran will be the featured artists at Gallery House in August 2018 in an exhibit titled “Summer into Fall”, Coastal Paintings. The exhibit will run from August 21, to September 15, 2018. A public reception for the artists is Friday, August 24, from 6 -8 pm.
Acrylic Painter, Sandra Cochran
Sandra is a figurative painter who lives and works in half Moon Bay. Sandra's paintings are of places within walking distance of her home that she visits frequently. Places of solitude. It is her hope that the paintings capture something of the feeling she experiences in her walks along the coast.
Oil Painter, Kevyn Warnock
Kevyn has been painting Bay Area landscapes for the past 25 years, finding infinite variety in the gold and green hills, the many moods of the ocean and the interplay of the people who inhabit these environments.
Kevyn works her perspective to push the scope of human versus natural elements. We find ourselves drawn into her seascapes and landscapes, enjoying the interplay, wanting to explore, being captured in her natural world. In this exhibit Kevyn plays with light and shadow, day and night. The paintings appear dark and exhibit her view of the many sides of this world.
