Jewelry
-I
am an artist.
-I love colors and shapes.
-I am fascinated by reducing colors and shapes to a minimum
to bring the most out of them.
-My work is puristic, simple, minimalistic.
I like the idea of having only one color, one metal or one
shape to emphasize this 'red', that'silver' or those 'lentils'.
I am inspired both from contemporary European design as well
as Japanese design both of which share the idea of minimalism.
Since 1998 I have lived, worked and taught in the Bay Area
of San Francisco, California. I continued to study Jewelry
at the Palo Alto Art Center, the Mendocino Art Center and
the Revere Academy in San Francisco.
-1997 Master of Art degree in Art Pedogogy, Art History and
Ethnic Studies from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Univeristy in Munich,
Germany with an emphasis on painting and metalsmithing.
-1987 apprenticeship diploma in lithography in Munich, Germany.
