Acrylics
I studied art at University of Washington and was very involved with the art community in Seattle. After moving to California in 1976 I studied with several artists working in acrylics, pastels, pen and ink, and colored pencil.
Close observation of the effects of light and color on natural objects, expecially plant forms, characterizes my work. My paintings have had as their subjects, landscape, still-life, and close-up views of plants or parts of plants. In addition, I have worked more abstractly using geometrical shapes, focusing expecially on color.
My work has been included in local, national, and international exhibits.
